Hiring for a position at a small dressage training facility located in Northern Virginia. Our facility is 1 hour from DC and 20 minutes from Morven Park International Equestrian Center. Beautiful and private studio apartment provided for full time staff member on site - dog allowed.
Applicant will have opportunities to experience all aspects of barn chores, management and training within a supportive environment, sharing barn duties with other staff members and learning from head FEI dressage trainer, owner/operator who also lives on site. Our community is like family - adult amateur students who ride and compete at the local and regional level. We host international level clinicians seasonally and attend a number of diverse events, clinics, and shows throughout the year.
Duties include routine cleaning and care for barn and horses, tacking, grooming, and bathing for lessons, clinics and shows. Depending on experience of applicant riding, competing and lease on 3rd level schoolmaster may be available. Potential to grow your own credentials and student body while developing into Asst Instructor/Trainer.
Structured work week will include consistent hours, days off and paid vacation time. Compensation based on experience and can include salary, stall, lessons, housing and lease horse. Excellent character references are required. We can also provide multiple work references from successful staff members who have come through our program and are still a part of our lives and community.
