Acorn Hill Farm in Madison, Virginia, is searching for a full-time head groom to start ASAP! Join our fun team and have the opportunity to learn from an accomplished former Nations Cup rider at a top Hunter/Jumper show barn!
*HOUSING AVAILABLE on site*
Lovely 2 bdrm 1 bthrm apt with full kitchen, shared laundry with adjacent apt, cable & electric included.
Hours are 7am - 4:30pm 5 days a week and 1 half day.
Job duties include: bringing in and turning out, feeding, grooming and tacking up, clipping, bandaging, blanketing, administering medication, giving grain/hay, cleaning stalls and other general barn chores, some lifting required. Must be comfortable handling well-mannered retired stallions. Some riding available but not required. Head groom will travel to shows approximately 1-2 weekends per mth, expenses paid.
Must have reliable transportation if not living on property.
Must be legal to work in US.
